Course Summary

Pediatricians have a variety of options for employment once they leave medical school. While there are many opinions regarding the right choice, the truth is: the right choice depends on the person. Some thrive while working in institutional settings and couldn’t imagine running their own practice. Others are happy to run their own practice but would feel smothered in a hospital. The choice is intensely personal.

In this course, you will review the various employment options available to physicians, learn how to choose the right path for yourself, and dive into the ways in which both doctors and employers can be sure to find the right match.

Course Presenter

Alex Meyer is an experienced small business manager and consultant. Having run small businesses and consulted with numerous small business owners, Alex understands the unique challenges that face small-business owners and leaders who must wear multiple hats to keep their business afloat. As a member of PCC’s Pediatric Solutions Team, he works with independent pediatric practices to fine-tune their business practices so that they can focus on patient care.
